How do I change the currency a donor sees?

Donors choose their own currency: the donation form has a currency dropdown, and its options come from the Accepted Currencies you enable in campaign settings. To change what donors can see and give in, edit that list.

Steps

  1. Open your campaign and go to Settings → the Financial Goals section.
  2. Set your Primary Currency — the base currency your goal and totals are counted in.
  3. Under Accepted Currencies, check the currencies donors may give in. Supported: USD, EUR, GBP, ILS, CAD, RUB. Your primary currency is always enabled and can't be unchecked.
  4. Save. The donation form's currency dropdown updates immediately.

What the donor experiences

A donor picks, say, ILS and enters ₪500. Under the amount, the form shows what that equals toward your goal ("Equals $147 towards the goal"), converted at current exchange rates. Your dashboard totals always count in your primary currency, so mixed-currency giving still adds up to one clean number.

Note: this controls the donation form. The public donations feed always displays amounts in your campaign's primary currency, whatever currency the donor gave in.

Tip: Enable only currencies your donor base actually uses — a short list converts better than a long one. For how conversion, rates, and settlement work, see Donations in foreign currencies and Goals, currencies, and multi-currency giving.
