Prepaid credits and discounts on your account

Prepaid credits

Some Pledgix accounts carry a prepaid credit balance — typically from purchasing a credit pack for usage-based services, or from an account credit issued by our team (for example, after a plan change mid-billing-cycle).

Where to see your balance

Open the Billing tab in your client portal. If you have credit available, a green "Prepaid credit" pill appears in the Open balance card showing your current balance.

Topping up yourself

You can also add prepaid credit on your own, without waiting for the team. The Add credit flow (in the Billing area, and wherever a service asks for credit — like the Marketing Hub) charges your chosen amount to your saved payment method on the spot:

  • If the charge succeeds, the credit is on your balance immediately, backed by a regular invoice in your Invoice history.
  • If the card declines, the attempt is voided right away — a declined top-up never lingers as an open invoice or retries your card later.
  • You need a saved payment method first; see Payment methods — card and bank (ACH).

How credits are used

Credits are applied automatically — there's nothing to redeem or activate:

  • When a usage invoice is generated, your available credit is applied first, and only the remainder (if any) is billed to your payment method.
  • Credits from a purchased credit pack become available the moment the pack's invoice is paid by card. Packs paid by bank (ACH) become spendable once the bank transfer settles — until then the balance shows as pending.
  • Your credit balance can never go negative — credits only ever reduce what you owe.
Tip: If your Open balance looks lower than you expected on a usage month, check the green credit pill — credits were likely applied before the invoice was issued.

Discounts and coupons

Discounts on Pledgix service billing are arranged with our team and applied to your account by Pledgix staff — there is no coupon-code box in the portal. If a discount has been agreed for your account:

  • It appears on affected invoices as its own negative line item, labeled Discount with the discount code, so you can always see exactly how much was taken off.
  • Percentage discounts reduce the invoice subtotal; fixed-amount discounts take a set amount off (in the invoice's currency).
  • A discount can apply once, for a set number of billing periods, or for the life of your subscription, depending on what was agreed.
  • Your invoice total can never go below zero — discounts cap out at the amount owed.

Checking that a discount was applied

  1. Open the Billing tab and find the invoice in Invoice history.
  2. Click View to open the invoice page, or download the PDF.
  3. Look for the Discount line item — the invoice total already reflects it.

Refunds and adjustments

If a charge is refunded in part, the refunded amount is recorded against the invoice and the invoice remains marked paid for the portion you kept. A fully refunded or cancelled charge shows as void. If a credit pack is refunded, only the unspent portion of its credits is removed — anything you already used stays used.

Tip: Questions about a specific credit or discount on your account? Open your account menu and choose Help & Support — include the invoice number and we can walk through the exact math with you.
