Assigning donors to teams

Why assign
Splitting your donor list between teams turns "someone should call these people" into "this team owns these people." Once assigned, a team's captains and members see their people in their own portal, keep notes on them, and can have the whole list pushed into a calling session with one click.
Assignment is team-level — the team owns the ask, and the team decides among themselves who makes each call.
Assigning one person
Open anyone in Donor Relations → People and find the Assignment card on their profile. Pick a team with Choose a team (search by team name, code, leader, or phone), then Save Assignment. To unassign, click the X on the assigned team's pill.
Assignments stick to the person (their email/phone identity), so they survive re-imports and profile rebuilds.
Assigning in bulk
In the People list, select multiple people — the blue action bar appears at the bottom. Click the assign icon to open Assign to a team, pick the team, and press Assign. The dialog also offers Clear existing assignments instead to bulk-unassign.
People without an email or phone on file are skipped and counted, never errored. You can select an entire filtered view — a segment, a tag, a giving band — and hand it to a team in one motion.
To see how the list is divided, use the Assigned team filter in the People rail: one chip per team, plus Unassigned to find everyone still up for grabs.
What the team sees
Captains and team members get a My Profiles page in their portal: "People assigned to your team — call them, track their giving, and keep notes." For each person they see giving history, this campaign's donations, the expected ask, pledges — and a Notes tab where they can write what they learned on a call (members can edit or delete only their own notes).
The fence is strict: a team sees only its own assigned people. Other teams' profiles, campaign-wide donor totals, tags, segments, imports, and bulk tools are all invisible from the team view. If a team has no assigned profiles yet, the People wing simply doesn't appear for them.
Pushing a team's list into calling
With a team's chip active in the People filter, a Push team list to Call Center button appears. It opens the Send to Call Center dialog: start a new dialing session with just these people (the team becomes the session's owner, so its dialers can work it), add them to Quick Dial, or drop them into an open session.
The push protects you automatically: people without a phone number, on the Do Not Call list, already given this year, or parked at "Not Now" are skipped — and an optional checkbox skips anyone already called in the last 14 days. The result toast reports exactly how many went in and how many were skipped, and why.
Tip: Assign before your phone-a-thon, not during it. A team that opens its portal and finds fifty familiar names with notes already attached starts calling in minutes — and every pledge and donation they land is attributed to their team.
Donor profiles and assignment are part of the Pledgix Pro and Political plans (the Pledgix team can enable them for other campaigns on request).
