Writing your About section with AI

Your About section is where visitors decide whether your cause moves them. Writing it from a blank page is hard — so Story Studio includes an AI Auto-Write assistant that turns your rough notes into a polished, full-length story you can review, edit, and approve.

Where to find it

  1. Open your campaign and go to the Design & Media hub.
  2. Open the Campaign Story tab — this is Story Studio, your About-section editor.
  3. Expand the AI Auto-Write bar at the top of the editor.

Your remaining balance is shown as AI Credits Left. Writing a draft uses 1 credit. (See Understanding AI credits.)

AI Auto-Write is included from Pledgix One and up — it's not part of Pledgix Go, though the Pledgix team can adjust access per campaign. Because drafts spend your campaign's AI credits, the credit check applies to everyone who uses it.

From bullet points to a full story

You don't need to write prose — just facts. In the notes box, jot down the key points you want the story to cover, one per line. For example:

  • Who you are and who you serve
  • What this campaign will fund
  • Why it matters right now
  • A detail that makes your story personal

Then click Auto-Write About Section. The AI expands your notes into a complete draft: five well-structured paragraphs, roughly 500–700 words — a full campaign story with an opening hook, supporting detail, and a closing call to give.

Writing in your campaign's languages

The draft is written in the language of the language tab you have selected in Story Studio. Working on your Hebrew page? Switch to the Hebrew tab first, and Auto-Write produces the draft in Hebrew. This makes it easy to build out every language version of your story without translating by hand. (See Campaign content in multiple languages.)

You approve every word

Auto-Write never publishes anything on its own. The result appears in an AI Draft Preview panel, where you choose what happens next:

  • Use This Text — the draft is placed into your Story Studio editor, where you can fine-tune it like any other text before saving.
  • Regenerate — not quite the right tone? Generate a fresh take. Each regeneration uses another credit.
  • Dismiss — close the preview without changing anything. Your existing About section is untouched.

Until you click Use This Text, your live page never changes.

If something goes wrong

If a draft fails to generate, your credit is refunded automatically — you'll see a confirmation that the refund was applied. Just try again.

Tip: The quality of the draft follows the quality of your notes. Two minutes spent adding specifics — names, numbers, a real moment from your work — produces a story that sounds like you, not like a template. "We provide 400 hot meals every Friday" beats "we help people" every time.
Tip: Treat the AI draft as your first 90%. Read it aloud once, replace anything that doesn't sound like your organization's voice, and add one sentence only you could write. That last 10% is what makes donors feel a human behind the campaign.

Good to know

  • The AI Auto-Write controls are currently available in English (the drafts it writes follow your selected language tab).
  • Regenerating replaces the preview, not your saved story — nothing is lost until you choose Use This Text.
  • The same credit balance is shared with the AI Banner Generator, so plan your credits across both tools.
