The notification bell: Messages from Pledgix

The bell icon in your top navigation bar keeps you on top of messages that need your attention — chat messages from the Pledgix team about your campaigns.

What the bell shows

When the Pledgix team sends a message to one of your campaigns — a payout update, a request for a document, a fee or reserve change, a terms update — a red badge appears on the bell with the number of unread messages (it shows 9+ once you pass nine).

Click the bell to open the Messages from Pledgix panel:

  • Each campaign with unread messages appears as its own row, with the campaign name and how many new messages it has.
  • Select a campaign row and you land on that campaign's Overview page with its chat drawer open, where you can read the messages and reply or upload what's requested.

When there's nothing waiting, the panel shows "You're all caught up!" — no news is good news.

Why these messages matter

For campaigns that process payments through Pledgix, our team occasionally needs information from you — verification documents, clarifications, or updates — before payouts can proceed. The bell is the fastest way to spot these requests, and responding promptly keeps your withdrawals on schedule.

Tip: The bell updates itself about once a minute while your dashboard is open, so a new message appears without any refresh on your part.

Where the conversation happens

Every campaign has a single chat with the Pledgix team, opened from the chat button in the campaign header (or from the bell). The full message history lives there: you can read everything the team has sent, reply, and see the whole conversation in one place. Opening the chat marks its messages as read, which clears them from your bell count.

The chat — and therefore the bell — is an owner-level tool. Captains, team members, and callers never see these conversations; they belong to the people who run the campaign.

Not seeing expected notifications?

  • The bell covers messages from the Pledgix team. Donation activity, by contrast, appears in the Recent Donations feed on your Home screen rather than the bell.
  • Make sure you're signed in with the account that belongs to the campaign in question — and with an owner-level role on it. Notifications are tied to your campaigns.
  • Some important notices (like invitation and verification emails) arrive by email rather than in the bell, so keep an eye on your inbox too.

Getting help

If a request from the team is unclear, reply directly in that campaign's chat — that keeps everything in one conversation. For anything else, your account menu's Help & Support option reaches our team.
