Sharing your campaign and social previews

The Share button
Your public campaign page keeps a Share button within reach at all times once your page is past Coming Soon mode (it lives in the sticky action bar alongside Donate). It doesn't just copy a link — it generates a beautiful, ready-to-post share card, rendered on Pledgix's servers so it looks identical everywhere: a portrait-format image featuring your campaign branding, your totals — a progress ring with amount raised and goal if your campaign has a goal, or the amount raised and donor count if it doesn't — and a "Scan to Donate" QR code that takes people straight to your page.
From the share dialog you can:
- Save Image — on a phone, this opens your device's native share sheet, so you can send the card directly to WhatsApp, Instagram stories, text messages, or anywhere else. On a computer, it downloads the image as a PNG.
- Share directly — one-tap buttons for WhatsApp, Telegram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, and email post your link straight to each platform.
- Copy link — copies your campaign's URL to the clipboard for pasting anywhere.
Tip: The share card is regenerated live, so it always shows your current totals. Re-share it at milestones — "50% funded!" cards perform noticeably better than static asks.
One pre-launch note: during your countdown the share card deliberately carries no totals or goal — the numbers stay under wraps until launch, and the card focuses on the campaign itself.
Sharing team pages
If your campaign uses teams, each team has its own page (like pledgix.com/your-campaign/t/team-name) with its own share card. Encourage team captains to share their team link — donations through it are credited to their team on the leaderboard.
Sharing in a specific language
Every language version of your page has its own address — for example pledgix.com/he/your-campaign for Hebrew. Share the language-specific link with the matching audience and they'll land directly in their language. See Your page in multiple languages.
How your page looks when shared (social previews)
When someone pastes your link into Facebook, WhatsApp, X, Slack, or iMessage, the platform builds a preview from your page. Pledgix generates this automatically:
- Title — your campaign name, paired with your organization's name
- Description — your campaign's short description; if you haven't set one, an excerpt of your story is used
- Image — chosen in order: the first image in your media gallery, then an explicit cover image if set, then your logo, and as a last resort the Pledgix logo. Banner and cover images are served as a pre-sized 1200×630 crop, which is what social platforms want.
Making the preview shine
- In your campaign dashboard, open Design & Media.
- Set a strong cover image — this is the single biggest factor in how your shared link looks. Use a clear, high-resolution photo without small text.
- Write a concise campaign description (one or two compelling sentences). Previews truncate long text, so lead with the hook.
- Save, then paste your link into a private chat to see the result.
Tip: Social platforms cache previews. If you update your cover image and an old preview keeps appearing, it usually refreshes within a day — or use the platform's link-debugger tool (like Facebook's Sharing Debugger) to force it.
Search engines
Your campaign page is fully rendered on Pledgix's servers, so search engines can read your title, description, and story directly — no extra setup needed. A descriptive campaign name and a well-written opening paragraph in your story are the best things you can do for discoverability.
One link everywhere
If your campaign has its own custom domain connected (see Using your own domain), your share links and QR codes automatically use that domain instead of pledgix.com — your brand, everywhere.
