Setting up your payout method

Choose how you want to be paid

Pledgix Go and Pledgix One campaigns receive disbursements from Pledgix, and you decide where they go. Three payout methods are supported:

Bank transfer

Direct deposit to a US bank account. You'll provide:

  • Bank name and account holder name
  • Account type — checking or savings
  • 9-digit routing number
  • Account number (4–17 digits)

The routing number is checked against the banking industry's ABA checksum as you save — a mistyped digit is rejected on the spot, because a bad routing number costs a multi-day round trip when the transfer bounces. Your routing and account numbers are encrypted the moment they're saved; afterward, only the last four digits are ever displayed — even to you. The full numbers are never shown again in the portal.

Bank (ACH) transfers are sent in USD only, and only to a bank method the Pledgix team has verified.

Check

A payout check made out to your payee. You'll provide the payee name and a full mailing address (street, city, state, ZIP, country). Checks are delivered by email as password-protected PDFs — you retrieve the password separately in your portal, and the address on file is what prints on the check itself. Physical mailing of a printed check is available as an admin-handled option.

eCheck

An electronic payment sent to your email through a supported platform — Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, or another service you specify.

Adding a payout method

  1. Open your campaign in the client portal and go to the Payouts & Transactions tab.
  2. In the payout methods section — it appears once your compliance is approved — choose the method type and fill in its details.
  3. Save. Your new method becomes the active one for the campaign.

One active method at a time

Each campaign has exactly one active payout method — the destination for its next disbursement. You can save more than one method and switch which is active at any time; activating one automatically deactivates the others.

Tip: Set up your payout method as soon as your compliance is approved — that's when the section unlocks. That way, nothing blocks your first disbursement once your hold period ends.

Verified methods

Before sending significant funds, the Pledgix team verifies your payout method (for example, confirming bank details with you directly). Once a method is verified:

  • It shows a verified indicator in your payout methods list.
  • It can no longer be deleted from the portal. This is a security measure — it prevents anyone who gains access to your account from quietly redirecting your money. If you need to remove or change a verified method, contact Pledgix support and we'll handle it with you securely.
  • It unlocks extras that require verification: self-issued payout checks need a verified check method, and ACH bank transfers only go to a verified bank method.

One important consequence: if you edit the identity of a verified method — a check's payee name or mailing address, or an eCheck's destination — the verification is cleared automatically, because what was verified no longer matches what would be paid. The Pledgix team re-verifies the new details before those features work again.

Unverified methods can be deleted freely.

Keeping details current

If your bank account changes, add the new account as a new payout method and make it active. Do this before your next payout is issued — a payout sent to a closed account will be returned and reissued, which delays your funds.

Tip: Bank transfer is typically the fastest and most reliable option for larger amounts, and emailed check PDFs arrive instantly. eCheck platforms may have their own receiving limits.
