Why Pledgix asks for documents
Pledgix Go and Pledgix One campaigns can start collecting donations immediately — but before funds can be withdrawn to your bank, Pledgix needs to verify who you are. This protects your donors, keeps the platform compliant with financial regulations, and protects you from fraud on your own campaign.
You can upload documents when you first create your campaign (the wizard's setup step has an optional Supporting Documents upload) or afterward from the Verification view of your campaign's Payouts & Transactions tab — the upload area is available whenever we're waiting on documents from you, that is, in the Pending Documents and Action Required statuses.
Which documents to upload
When you upload a document, you type a short description of what it is — for example "Passport", "Utility bill", or "Letter from my Rabbi". This description is required and helps our team review your submission faster.
Typical documents include:
- Government ID — a passport, driver's license, or national ID card
- Doctor's letter — for medical fundraising campaigns
- Rabbinical letter — for campaigns with a rabbinical endorsement
- Utility bill — as proof of address
- Any additional supporting document our team requests
A government ID is the core requirement for most campaigns; the others help our team verify the story behind your campaign faster.
File requirements
- Formats: PDF, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, or HEIC
- Maximum size: 20 MB per file
- Documents are stored privately and viewed only through secure, time-limited links — they are never public.
How to upload
- Open your campaign in the client portal and go to the Payouts & Transactions tab, then the Verification view.
- Type what the document is (e.g. "Passport") and select your file.
- The file uploads securely from your browser and appears in your document list as pending review.
- Uploading a document automatically moves your campaign into review — you don't need to notify anyone. (A Submit for Review button also appears while we're still waiting on documents, if you want to send existing uploads back for another look.)
Understanding your compliance status
Your campaign's overall verification moves through these statuses:
| Status | What it means | |---|---| | Pending Documents | We're waiting for your uploads. | | Documents Submitted | Your documents are in — shown as "Documents Received" (or "Documents in review" on the balance dashboard) while they wait for the team to pick them up. | | Under Review | The Pledgix team is actively reviewing your documents. | | Action Required | Something needs your attention — check the campaign chat. | | Approved | You're verified. Your payout hold clock starts now. | | Rejected | Verification could not be completed — see the messages for details. |
Each individual document is also reviewed and marked approved or rejected, and you'll receive a Document Review Complete email with any notes from the reviewer.
Talking to the compliance team
Every campaign has a built-in chat with the Pledgix team — open it with the chat icon in your campaign header. Use it to ask questions or provide context, and attach files to messages when the team asks for something. You'll get an email whenever the team replies, and the notification bell in your portal shows unread messages from Pledgix across all your campaigns.
Tip: If your status is Action Required, the campaign chat almost always explains exactly what's needed. Responding there with the requested document is the fastest path back to review.
After approval
Approval starts your payout hold period — you'll receive an email confirming the date your hold ends, after which disbursements can begin. See Why some of your funds may be held for how the hold works.
