If your donors speak more than one language, your campaign should too. Pledgix lets you write your campaign story in as many languages as your audience needs, and serves each visitor the right version automatically.
Story translations are available from Pledgix One and up. Pledgix Go campaigns keep a single-language story (Go also limits page media to one gallery image and no video) — upgrading to One unlocks translations, and the Pledgix team can adjust access per campaign.
Supported languages
Your story can be written in any language from a catalog of roughly sixty — Yiddish (אידיש) leads the list, followed by the five platform languages (English, Hebrew, Spanish, French, and Russian) and a world catalog from Amharic to Chinese. Right-to-left languages like Yiddish, Hebrew, and Arabic get full RTL layout automatically.
The five platform languages (English, Hebrew, Russian, Spanish, French) are special: they are also the languages of the page's buttons, menus, and web addresses. Other story languages translate your story text, while the surrounding page chrome stays in one of the five.
Writing your story in multiple languages
The Story Studio is where your multilingual content lives. Open your campaign, go to the Design & Media hub, and open the Campaign Story tab — the editor's header reads "Craft your campaign story in multiple languages."
- Your story starts with one language tab. Click Add to add another language from the catalog.
- Each language gets its own tab with a full rich-text editor — write freely, format text, and structure your story for that audience. Don't just translate word-for-word; adapt your appeal to each community.
- A completion indicator shows how many languages are filled in (for example, "2/3 languages completed"), with a green dot on every finished tab.
- Your work saves automatically as you type.
A few extras per language:
- Text direction — each language has an LTR/RTL toggle. Hebrew automatically defaults to right-to-left.
- Custom display name — rename how a language is labeled if you prefer a different wording.
- Deleting a language — removes all text written in that language permanently (you'll be asked to confirm).
- AI Auto-Write — optionally generate a first draft of your story per language, powered by AI, which you can then edit. AI drafting uses your campaign's AI credits and is included from Pledgix One and up.
How visitors get the right language
The five platform languages each have their own web address:
- Your campaign's primary language lives at the clean address:
pledgix.com/your-campaign. - Each of the other platform languages is served at a prefixed address, for example
pledgix.com/he/your-campaignfor Hebrew orpledgix.com/ru/your-campaignfor Russian.
This means you can share language-specific links directly — send the Hebrew link to your Hebrew-speaking list and the English link to everyone else. Story languages beyond the five (such as Yiddish) don't get their own URL — instead, the story section shows language pills, and visitors switch the story in place with one click.
Tip: Include the right language link in each outreach channel. A WhatsApp group that communicates in Hebrew should get the /he/ link, so the page opens in Hebrew from the very first impression — right-to-left layout and all.Frequently asked
Do I have to fill in every language? No. Only add the languages your audience actually needs. Languages you haven't added simply aren't offered.
Which language is the "primary" one? The primary language is the one served at your clean campaign address. If you need to change which language is primary, contact Pledgix support.
Does this translate donation receipts or emails? The Story Studio covers your public campaign page content. Other content areas have their own settings.
