Managing campaign tasks and to-dos

Every campaign is a project, and the Tasks board keeps yours on track. You'll find it in your campaign under Planning → Tasks, alongside the campaign calendar. The Planning section is included on Pledgix Pro and Political plans — the Pledgix team can enable it for other campaigns on request.
The Tasks board at a glance
At the top of the board, four tiles summarize where things stand: Total, Done, High Priority, and Overdue. Below, your task cards show due-date badges ("Due today", "Due in 3d", "2d overdue"), priority, status, and who's assigned.
Use the search box, the Filters button (by Priority, Status, and Assignee — including "Assigned to Me" and "Unassigned"), and the sort menu (Due Date, Priority, Status, Created) to slice the board however you work. Completed tasks are hidden by default; check "Show completed tasks" to see them.
Creating a task
- Click Add Task.
- Give it a Task Title (required) and an optional Description.
- Set a Priority (Low, Medium, or High) and a Status (Not Started, In Progress, Completed, or Blocked).
- Pick dates: a Single Date due date, or a Date Range — a range task appears on the calendar every day between its start and end dates.
- Optionally add Subtasks (a checklist inside the task) and Dependencies (tasks that must be completed before this one — a task with unfinished dependencies is blocked).
- Click Create Task.
Assigning tasks
In the Assign To section, you can assign a task to one or more people in your campaign, grouped as Campaign Admins, Managers, and Members. Assigned people can find their work quickly with the "Assigned to Me" filter.
Asking the Pledgix team for help
At the top of the assignee list, under System, there's a special option: Pledgix Team — "Route this task to Pledgix support staff."
Assign a task to the Pledgix Team when you need something from us — a configuration change, a question, a request. The task is flagged to Pledgix staff, who track and work it directly on your board. You'll see their progress on the very same task card, and you can filter your board by the Pledgix Team assignee to review everything you've routed to us.
Tip: Give Pledgix Team tasks a clear title and a due date — they're triaged by urgency, and overdue items surface first on our side.
Recurring tasks
For work that repeats — weekly donor calls, monthly reports — open the Recurring Task section when creating or editing a task:
- Choose a Frequency: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
- Set the interval ("Every X days/weeks/months").
- Optionally set an End Date to stop the series.
Recurring tasks need a due date. When you complete one, the next occurrence is created automatically with the following due date — fresh subtasks, clean slate. If the next date would fall past the series end date, the series simply stops.
Completing tasks
- For a single-date task, click the checkbox on the card. Done.
- For a date-range task, the checkbox opens a Mark Task Completion panel with one checkbox per day. Check off days as you go — the task completes automatically when every day is marked, and you can use "Mark all days as done" to finish in one click.
Deleting a task is permanent — you'll be asked to confirm, because it can't be undone.
