Inviting your first teammates

Fundraising is easier with company. Once your campaign exists, the next move is bringing in the people who'll help run it — and Pledgix has two different doors for two different kinds of teammates. Picking the right door is the whole trick.
Two kinds of teammates
- Leadership — people who help manage the campaign: editing the page, handling donations, sending messages. They're invited through Client Portal Access and get management access to your campaign dashboard.
- Fundraisers — captains and team members who raise money in your name, each with a team page and leaderboard spot. They're organized in the Teams Management tab.
Someone can be both — the roles stack. (For the full breakdown of what each role can do, see Roles and permissions explained.)
Inviting a leader
- Open your campaign from My Campaigns and go to Campaign Settings.
- Open the Team & Access tab and find the Client Portal Access section.
- Choose the role to grant — Manager for day-to-day help, or Campaign Admin for full control including payouts. Grant the least role that does the job; you can promote later. (Campaigns that run a call center also have a Caller role — a phone-bank helper who only sees their assigned call lists — but callers are invited from the Call Center's caller roster, not from here.)
- Enter their name (optional, but it personalizes their account) and email address.
- Select Add & Invite.
Their access is active immediately, and an invitation email lands in their inbox with a link to open the dashboard. If they've never used Pledgix, the link walks them through setting a password (or they can continue with Google); existing users just sign in. Their side of the flow is covered in Accepting a team invitation.
Tip: Don't see Client Portal Access in Settings? Your role on this campaign doesn't include member management — ask the campaign's admin to send the invite or to raise your role.
If the email goes missing
Every person you've added appears in the Active Access list. Hover over their row for quick actions: resend the invite email, change their role, or remove access. Removal only affects this campaign — their Pledgix account and other campaigns are untouched. (Details in Adding and removing team members.)
Setting up your fundraisers
For team-based campaigns, head to the Teams Management tab:
- Create your first teams. On Pledgix Pro and Political plans you can also name captains for each team (the Pledgix team can enable captains for other campaigns on request).
- Adding many people at once? On Pledgix One and above, Teams Management supports bulk import, so you can bring in a whole roster from a spreadsheet instead of typing one by one.
- Each team gets its own shareable page and a place on your campaign's leaderboard — team members share their team link, and donations through it count for their team.
On Pledgix One and above, you can also let supporters sign up to start their own team right from your public page, which is a great growth engine for community campaigns. (Pledgix Go campaigns don't include public team signup.)
A sensible first-week order
- Invite one co-manager early — a second pair of eyes on the page before launch catches things you've stopped seeing.
- Set up teams next, once the page content is stable, so captains join a campaign that already looks real.
- Ask everyone to sign in once before launch day. The worst time to discover a missed invitation email is an hour before your event.
Tip: When inviting, use the email address the person actually checks. The invitation, and all future sign-ins, are tied to that exact address — a forwarding alias or shared inbox causes confusion later.
What your teammates will see
New leaders land in the same campaign workspace you use, shaped by their role. Fundraisers see a focused view — overview numbers, donations, and their teams. If you ever wonder what a teammate's screen looks like, A map of every campaign dashboard tab explains who sees which tabs and why.
