How do I know when someone donates?

Pledgix doesn't ring the notification bell for each donation — instead, you watch your campaign through three live views, each refreshing on its own. (Team captains are the exception: they get an automatic New donation email for each gift to their team — more below.)

Your three live views

  1. Your public campaign page — open it in a browser tab. Every new donation triggers a real-time pop-up (amount + donor's first name), and the total and feed update the moment gifts are processed. This is your best "mission control" during launch hour.
  2. The Live Screen — the full-screen jumbotron view for projectors at events, with an animated total and live activity feed. Available on Pledgix Pro and Political plans (the Pledgix team can enable it for other campaigns on request).
  3. Your dashboard's activity feed — the "Recent Donations" card on your dash home carries a Live badge and shows the latest gifts across your campaigns. It refreshes whenever you return to the tab, picking up anything new from the last couple of minutes — great for keeping an eye on things, but not instant like the public page.

What does NOT notify you

  • The notification bell in your top bar opens the Messages from Pledgix panel — chat messages from the Pledgix team about your campaigns — not donations.
  • There is no per-donation email alert for campaign owners — but team leaders automatically receive a "New donation" email for each gift to their team. It's on by default; on Pledgix Pro and Political plans you can customize its design in Design & Media → New Donation Email. Pledgix Go campaigns don't send team donation alerts at all — the donor's receipt is the only email a Go campaign produces. (Donors always receive their receipt emails automatically.)
Tip: On your big day, keep your public page open on a second screen or your phone — you'll see exactly what your donors see, pop-ups included. Full details in Real-time donation notifications.
