How do I change my cover photo?
Last updated 1 min read
Your cover photo (hero banner) is managed in your campaign's design area, and changes go live on your public page right after saving.
Steps
- Open your campaign in the client portal and go to Design & Media.
- Open the Media Assets tab and find the Hero Banners section.
- Click Upload Image and choose your photo. For best results use 1920×1080 px (16:9) — JPG, PNG, or WEBP, up to 25 MB.
- Save. Give the public page a minute to refresh (see Why don't my edits show immediately?).
No good photo? Generate one
The same section includes an AI banner generator — describe the banner you want, use the free Enhance step to polish your idea into a full prompt, then generate a 1920×1080 image for your campaign. Generating a banner uses one AI credit — or two if you attach a style-reference image (refunded automatically if generation fails). The AI generator is available on Pledgix One and above, when AI features are enabled for your campaign.
Why the cover photo matters twice
Your cover image isn't just the top of your page — it's also the source of the picture shown when your link is shared on WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and iMessage (Pledgix serves a pre-sized 1200×630 crop of it for link previews). A clear, high-resolution photo without small text performs best in both places.
Note: Pledgix Go campaigns are capped at one gallery image, so on Go your single hero image does all of this work.
Tip: Social platforms cache link previews, so after changing your cover, an old image may linger in shares for up to a day. See Sharing your campaign and social previews for how to force a refresh.
