How do I change a team's goal?
Last updated 1 min read
Each team has its own Fundraising Goal, and you can change it at any time from the Teams panel. The team's public page and progress bar update as soon as you save.
Steps
- Open your campaign and go to the Teams section.
- Find the team in the list and click its Edit (pencil) button. The Edit Team dialog opens.
- Enter the new amount in the Fundraising Goal field.
- Click Save Changes.

While you're there, you can also update the team leader's name, email addresses and phone numbers, the Team Code, the Custom URL Slug, and the Team Visibility toggle (turning visibility off hides the team from your public campaign page without deleting it). On Pledgix Pro and Political plans the dialog also covers the team's group and its captains — those sections don't appear on plans without the groups-and-captains feature.
How team goals relate to the campaign goal
Team goals are independent targets — they don't need to add up to your campaign's primary goal. Many campaigns deliberately set the sum of team goals higher than the campaign goal, since not every team finishes at 100%.
Tip: If a team blows past its goal early, raise it rather than leaving it maxed out — a progress bar frozen at 100% stops motivating that team's donors. For the full guide to creating teams, captains, and groups, see Building teams and appointing captains.
