Editing your campaign after launch

A campaign is a living thing — your story evolves, your goal grows, your team expands. Most of your campaign can be edited at any time, even while donations are flowing. A few settings are protected because changing them mid-campaign could break links, payments, or compliance.
What you can edit freely
From your campaign workspace you can update, at any time:
- Name and description — in Campaign Settings → General
- Story and translations — in the Design & Media hub's Campaign Story tab (story translations are a Pledgix One feature — Go campaigns keep a single-language story)
- Media, banners, and colors — in the Design & Media hub
- Fundraising goal and bonus goal — in the Financial Goals section of Campaign Settings → Fundraising (the bonus/stretch goal is not available on Pledgix Go)
- Quick amounts — the suggested donation buttons donors see, in the Quick Amounts section of the Fundraising tab (Pledgix Go campaigns always use the standard platform presets)
- Accepted currencies — in the Fundraising tab's Currency card; payment methods live in the Payments tab
- Timeline & scheduling — launch dates, countdowns, end dates, and extensions, in the Timeline tab
- Team signup settings — the "Be a Team" button and approval mode, in Campaign Settings → Team & Access (available from Pledgix One; always off for Go)
- Teams, tasks, calendar events, and email settings — in their respective tabs
Changes to your public page take effect right away.
Upgrading from Go to One
If your campaign runs on Pledgix Go, you can upgrade it to Pledgix One yourself — no support ticket needed. A Campaign Admin (owner) will find the Upgrade to Pledgix One card in Campaign Settings → General. Before you click, know exactly what the upgrade means:
- It's permanent. There is no downgrade back to Go.
- The One platform fee applies retroactively — the current Pledgix One rate (shown in the upgrade dialog) is applied to your entire campaign, including donations already raised on Go. In exchange, donors are no longer asked for the Go tip.
- You re-accept the Pledgix One Terms & Conditions as part of the upgrade.
- Go-era content limits aren't undone. Anything Go didn't store — extra gallery images, video, story translations, a bonus goal — isn't restored by the upgrade; the features unlock and you add the content fresh.
All other model changes (to Pro or Political) are handled by the Pledgix team — see Requesting a Pro campaign.
Settings reserved for the Campaign Admin
Each campaign has one or more Campaign Admins (the campaign's owners) alongside Managers. Managers can run day-to-day operations, but a few areas are admin-only. If you're a Manager, you'll see these sections in view-only mode with editing disabled:
- Campaign URL — your web address at pledgix.com
- Payout and bank routing — where the money goes
- Client Portal Access — granting others access to the campaign dashboard
If you need one of these changed, ask your Campaign Admin.
Settings managed by Pledgix
Some controls are managed at the platform level and don't appear in your settings:
- Status & visibility — pausing, unpublishing, or canceling a campaign, and whether donations are enabled
- Campaign model changes other than Go → One — moving to Pro or Political
- Evergreen / always-on status and page templates
- Feature access — the Pledgix team can enable or disable individual features for your campaign, beyond your plan's defaults
For any of these, contact Pledgix support and we'll take care of it.
Two things to treat as permanent
- Your Campaign URL appears on printed materials, QR codes, and every link your supporters have shared. Only a Campaign Admin can change it, and doing so breaks every link already out in the world — a change asks for explicit confirmation, and the wizard's advice stands: choose it wisely and treat it as permanent.
- Your Campaign PIN — the short code used for phone donations — is assigned once and never changes, because printed materials and phone-system configurations depend on it staying stable.
Deleting a campaign
In Campaign Settings → System, a Campaign Admin or Manager can archive or delete a campaign. As a safeguard, campaigns that have recorded donations can't be deleted from the portal — donation records must be preserved. If you need to close a campaign with donation history, contact Pledgix support.
Tip: You rarely need to delete anything. Letting a campaign reach its end date (or asking support to unpublish it) preserves your full history and analytics, which are invaluable when planning your next campaign.
