Donation tiers: creating giving levels (Zechusim & Tiers)
Last updated 3 min read
Donation tiers turn "please give" into "here's what your gift means." A tier is a named giving level — like Amud HaYeshiva at $1,000 — that appears as an attractive tile on your campaign page. When a donor clicks one, the donation form opens with that amount already filled in.
Donation tiers are available from Pledgix One and up — they're not included on Pledgix Go, though the Pledgix team can adjust access per campaign.
Where tiers live
- Open your campaign and go to the Design & Media hub.
- Open the Zechusim & Tiers tab.
- Click Add Tier (or Create First Tier if you're starting fresh).
Building a tier
The tier editor includes a Live Preview, so you see exactly what donors will see as you type. Here's what each field does:
- Title (required) — the name of the giving level, e.g., Amud HaYeshiva.
- Amount (required) — the donation amount attached to this tier.
- Display Mode — Text for a clean typographic tile, Icon + Text to place an icon above the amount, or Image to feature a picture.
- Box Shape — Square, Circle, or Rectangle, so the tier grid matches your page's style.
- Box Image — for image tiles, upload a PNG, JPG, or WEBP up to 5 MB — or describe a picture and generate one with AI (1 credit).
- Description — a sentence about what this level supports or signifies.
- Merit Title — an honor line, e.g., Parnas HaYom. (See Merit and dedication lines on tiers.)
- Dedication Title — a dedication line, e.g., L'iluy Nishmas....
- Quantity Available — leave blank for unlimited, or enter a number to cap how many units of this tier can be claimed. (See Limited tiers and inventory.)
Save, and the tier appears on your public page immediately.
Arranging your tiers
Tiers display in the order you arrange them — simply drag a tier card to reorder. Hover over any card to reveal Edit and Delete; deleting asks you to confirm first.
There are no fixed tier "types" to choose between. Every tier starts from the same editor, and you decide which ones carry images, honors, dedications, or limited quantities.
What donors experience
On your campaign page, tiers appear as a grid of tiles showing each title, amount, and design. When a donor selects one:
- The donation form opens with the tier's amount pre-filled.
- Donors can choose a quantity — one unit or several in a single gift — and the checkout verifies the total matches the tier amount times the quantity chosen.
- If the tier has a limited quantity, donors see how many remain.
Tip: Use a ladder of amounts with a clear "hero" tier. A common pattern: several accessible levels ($180, $360, $500), one aspirational anchor at the top ($5,000+), and your realistic target level placed prominently in the middle. The anchor makes the middle feel reasonable.
Tip: Meaningful names outperform generic ones. "Sponsor a Day of Learning — $360" tells a story; "Gold Level — $360" doesn't. Pair each name with one concrete sentence in the Description.
Good to know
- Tier amounts are in your campaign's currency; donors giving in other currencies see the equivalent handled automatically at checkout.
- Tiers and Quick Amounts work together: tiers are for named, meaningful levels; quick amounts are the plain suggested buttons inside the donation form. (See Quick Amounts: suggested donation buttons.)
- Donor-facing tier tiles are translated into your campaign's languages automatically for standard labels like "Sold Out."
- Want tiers to be the catalog? Sponsorship mode (in Campaign Settings) turns your tiers into claimable items — one-of-a-kind or limited-quantity — that lock on the public page when fully sold, with or without a custom-amount option alongside.
