A tour of Marketing & Outreach

One hub, five channels

Every campaign dashboard includes a Marketing & Outreach section — your home base for reaching teams, donors, and supporters. It's organized into up to five tabs:

  • Email Studio — design and send rich, branded email blasts with a drag-and-drop editor, auto-saving shared drafts, and attachments.
  • SMS Center — compose text messages with live character counting, personalization, and scheduled sending.
  • WhatsApp — send approved-template WhatsApp messages (a default-off grant enabled by the Pledgix team).
  • Robocalls — record or type a voice message and broadcast it by phone to a list of recipients.
  • Link Center — create trackable short links for your campaign (also a default-off grant).

Each channel tab is a full workspace with its own compose area and its own History, so you can always look back at what was sent, to whom, and how it performed.

Turning channels on

Marketing & Outreach is included by default on Pledgix Pro and Political plans — the Pledgix team can enable it for other campaigns on request. If you open Marketing & Outreach and see Marketing Not Enabled, or a No Channels Enabled screen, the module (or all of its channels) is switched off for this campaign — contact the Pledgix team to have it enabled.

There are two levels of switches:

  1. A master marketing switch for the whole campaign. When it's off, no channel works — even if individual channels appear enabled.
  2. Individual switches per channel. Only enabled channels appear as tabs, so your hub may show anywhere from one to all five — WhatsApp and Link Center start off for every campaign and appear only after the Pledgix team grants them.
Tip: If a send fails with a message like "Marketing is disabled for this campaign," check the master switch first — it overrides everything else.

Who can use it

Sending email and SMS from a campaign requires a role with marketing permissions in that campaign (campaign managers and above). Team captains and regular team members don't see these tools. If a teammate needs access, review their role in your campaign's team settings.

A few capabilities carry extra safeguards:

  • Texting phone numbers outside your team roster requires a one-time approval from the Pledgix team (see Texting beyond your team roster).
  • Voice broadcasts are automatically limited to legal calling hours and screened against your campaign's Do Not Call list.
  • Some email audience options may require elevated access; if you see a permissions message, contact the Pledgix team.

What lives where

| I want to… | Go to | |---|---| | Email all my team leaders at once | Email Studio | | Pick up an email where a teammate left off | Email Studio → Drafts | | Text my teams a rally-day reminder | SMS Center | | Schedule a text for tomorrow morning | SMS Center → the clock button | | Send a recorded voice message | Robocalls | | Block a phone number from all calls | Robocalls → DNC | | See what was sent and delivered | The History view inside each tab |

Tip: Not sure which channel fits your message? See Choosing between email, SMS, and voice for a side-by-side comparison.
