Adding and removing people on your campaign

Campaigns are a team sport. This article covers how campaign leaders grant, change, and remove access for the people helping run a campaign.
Where member management lives
- Open your campaign from My Campaigns.
- Go to the campaign's Settings.
- Open the Team & Access tab and find the Client Portal Access section.
This section lists everyone with a leadership role on the campaign and lets you invite more. It's an Owner-level area: campaign Owners (Campaign Admins) see and manage it, while Managers, Captains, and Team Members currently don't see this section at all.
Inviting someone
- In Client Portal Access, enter the person's email address (required) and their name (optional but recommended — it personalizes their account).
- Choose the role to grant — Campaign Admin (an Owner-level role) or Manager.
- Select Add & Invite.
The person's access is active immediately, and they receive an invitation email with a personal link. New users set a password through that link; existing users just sign in. (See Accepting a team invitation for their side of the flow.)
Tip: Invite with the least role that does the job. You can always promote someone later; walking access back is more awkward than granting more.
Resending an invitation
If the invite email went missing or its link expired, use the resend action next to that member's row. A fresh email with a new one-time link goes out, replacing the old one.
Changing someone's role
Owners can switch a member between Admin and Manager using the role dropdown on their row (the dropdown shows the shorter "Admin" label for the Campaign Admin role). The rules are enforced on the server: nobody can ever grant a role above their own level.
Removing someone
Select the remove action on the member's row. Their access to the campaign ends immediately. Their Pledgix account itself remains intact — they simply no longer see your campaign, and any other campaigns they belong to are unaffected.
What about Captains and Team Members?
Client Portal Access manages the leadership tier. Fundraising teams — the Captains and Team Members who raise money on the campaign — are managed in the campaign's Teams tab, where Managers and Owners can add teams and, on Pledgix Pro and Political plans, assign captains and organize team groups (bulk roster import is available on Pledgix One and above). Captains and Team Members don't see the Teams area at all.
Who can grant what — quick reference
| Your role | Sees Client Portal Access | Can invite Admin/Manager | Can manage Teams | |---|---|---|---| | Owner | Yes | Yes | Yes | | Manager | No | No | Yes | | Captain | No | No | No | | Team Member | No | No | No |
If someone tries to grant a role above their level, Pledgix blocks it with a clear message — the rules are enforced on the server, not just in the interface.
